Craig shared many stories with all of us about what he wanted to do next or what the next mission was. Craig was a man of mission. He shared with several of his friends and I that he has traveled the world and has seen and done pretty much everything there was to do. Even though he has seen the World there was something about the Mountains of Tennessee that brought peace to Craig. Maybe it was the scenery, the small home-town family values, or perhaps it was Lord calling him to his final resting place.

 

What I do know, is that when I begged him to come home just a few days before the ambush, he smiled at me with that "Craig Smile" and said, "Dad my mission is not done here yet, but when I get home I want to settle down in the Mountains of Tennessee".

 

Even though you are now home safe in the Lord's hands, you will always be my rock and I know that I will always be yours. God is your rock for now as you continue your mission in Heaven. I love you and I thank you for everything...
